YouTube (which owns YouTubeTV) announced in a blog post that it will improve Multiview by allowing all NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers to create custom Multiviews using the Build Multiview feature They also announced improvements to Fantasy View, allowing Yahoo Fantasy accounts to connect to the YouTube TV experience
But YouTube did not stop there Several smaller features were also announced, including a new spoiler mode, advanced playback controls, and more Here's everything you can expect from this massive feature update
For those who don't know, Multiview allows you to watch up to four matches on one screen There are several services currently offering this feature, but YouTube TV is really leading the pack when it comes to cable TV alternatives
Earlier this year, YouTube TV announced the construction of Multiview Originally, Multiview was curated by YouTube TV, allowing users to choose almost any combination of games; during March Madness, YouTube TV offered this feature to some users, and I was able to try it out during that time After using it for a while, I commented
that I was “honestly surprised that [Multiview] wasn't always like this”
Now, the Multiview buildout is being expanded to all NFL Sunday Ticket users on TVs, mobile devices, and tablets; with YouTube TV and Sunday Ticket, you can add up to three local NFL games to your Sunday Ticket With YouTube TV and Sunday Ticket, you can add up to three local NFL games to your Sunday Ticket and never miss a second of your local team's game while watching the game
Fantasy football players have been able to add NFLcom Fantasy teams to their YouTube TV viewing experience since 2020 However, now Yahoo Fantasy users can also add teams, adding a significant platform to the Fantasy View feature
Fantasy View allows users to view the status of their fantasy football team while watching a game on YouTube TV Simply select the Scores and Stats icons in the user interface while watching the game, then select the Fantasy tab
YouTube also states that more upgrades to Fantasy View are on the way According to a blog post, the feature “will launch later this season on mobile devices, tablets, and the web,” and soon fantasy football players will be able to “see key plays and multi-view combinations for their fantasy lineup” That last one is a serious upgrade, so we will definitely keep an eye out for it
