Google is releasing a new feature in the Gmail app for Google Workspace users that makes replying to emails faster than ever
The Gmail app on iPhone and Android is a bit clunky when replying to an email The problem is that when you choose to reply, the app opens a new window It is still possible to view the original email, but it is at the bottom of the screen and in a rather difficult-to-read format However, Google has announced changes to Gmail for workspaces and personal users that will significantly change the layout
The new format looks more like a text message or WhatsApp conversation, with replies appearing at the bottom of the screen above the keyboard Meanwhile, the initial email appears above the message, making it easier to reference when composing a reply; Google has also expanded the reply window to provide access to formatting options
As noted above, this smaller reply window is available today to individual Workspace users and users with personal Google accounts on Android iPhone users, on the other hand, will have to wait until the end of this year to see the same update
This is not the only new feature for Google Workspace users, as another update reveals that Google Gemini can help you write better responses Google recently released a feature called “Help Me Write,” which allows you to which offers suggestions on how to finish a sentence: formalize, elaborate, or shorten it The new update also adds new shortcuts that make it easier to line up with the improved “Help Me Write” and “Refine My Draft” shortcuts
This layout change and improved Gemini integration means that now is a great time to invest in Google Workspace However, the lack of solid information about an iOS release will be disappointing to some users
