Sonos is gearing up to launch its next soundbar - it may be the “Arc Ultra”

Despite still struggling in the air after a disastrous new app launch, Sonos seems poised to release several exciting products, one of which may be the successor to the Sonos Arc

According to Arsène Lupin, a well-known industry leaker who posted their findings on X (formerly Twitter), Sonos is close to announcing its next major audio products, the so-called “Sub 4” and “Arc Ultra” As with most Sonos designs, Lupin says both new products will be available in white and black

This comes more than a month after earlier reports claimed that Sonos' next flagship soundbar would be called “Lasso” Apparently the Sonos Arc Ultra and Lasso are the same device, and will be Sonos' first Bluetooth audio playback soundbar with new driver technology

Rieker did not give a clear timeframe for when we can expect the Sonos Arc Ultra and Sonos Sub 4, but did confirm that the company has “begun preparing to launch the two delayed products”

While Sonos' app remains a mess today, the two new designs may be the perfect way to right the ship with consumers

Sonos has been in repair mode over the past few months after launching a new app in May following reports of enormous problems plaguing the system Several of our staff, including senior streaming writer Malcolm McMillan and West Coast reporter Scott Younker, have experienced their own problems with Sonos products, and the problems go beyond the software itself

Sonos CEO Patrick Spence jumped in on a Reddit AMA last week to discuss the issues surrounding the glitchy app and what they are doing to remedy the many complaints He made it clear that Sonos' top priority is fixing bugs and getting the app to function properly, citing difficulties with the company's older app, S2

Now Sonos seems to be working on launching the next entry in its line of best Sonos soundbars The latter features a “matte finish, dual force canceling woofers, and is available in white and black”

These leaks coincide with reports last month that heralded the arrival of Sonos Lasso, a flagship soundbar that will be the first to utilize Maycht's new transducer technology The transducers utilize neodymium magnets, the world's strongest natural magnets, to improve sound performance and clarity, and are intended to be one of the best soundbars ever made

Unfortunately, little else is known about the rumored Sonos Arc Ultra or Sonos Sub 4, but Tom's Guide has reached out to Sonos for comment and will update this page with further information
