Hello Strands fans! I struggled a bit with today's puzzle, even after getting the first couple of words on the board I had never heard the term “jug band” before
I had a hunch that today's theme, “makeshift music,” would refer to unconventional instruments, but it still took me a while to find something
Eventually, inspired by that famous SNL sketch, I found COWBELL around the middle and SPOONS just above it
Then I realized that the “board” I had found earlier was actually part of the WASHBOARD; BONES was just to the left of it, and the word STOVEPIPE was just above it
I now had enough space to trace the spangram from left to right: JUGBAND, and the only answer that remained was “BROOM,” tucked away in the upper right
