New on Prime Video and Freevee in September 2024 - All the New Shows and Movies You Need to See

Summer may be winding down, but Prime Video and Freevee are heating up with new shows and movies in September 2024 If you're looking for something to watch over the next few weeks, both streaming services welcome a host of top releases to keep you entertained

Let's take a look at some of the latest and greatest films coming to Prime Video and Freevee in August 2024

Have tissues on hand The final chapter of one of the most iconic eras in automotive television is almost upon us Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, all from “Top Gear,” travel to Zimbabwe in this one-off special to close out the final chapter of “The Grand Tour”

Ignoring the producer's instructions, the trio embark on the trip in three cars they have always wanted to own: a Lancia Monte Carlo, a Ford Capri 3-liter, and a Triumph Stag The “Grand Tour” first aired in 2015, reuniting Clarkson, Hammond, and May after “Top Gear” abruptly ended when Clarkson was fired for punching a producer Each episode showcases their trademark banter, camaraderie, and often chaotic antics

“The Magical Negro Society of America” may have been a box office disappointment, but hopefully its arrival on Prime Video will finally find the right audience for this unique contemporary fantasy film

The film is named “The Black Society for Magic in America

The society of the same name is a secret organization of blacks with magical powers, dedicated to protecting the black community by making life easier for whites A new employee named Allen, played by Justice Smith of “Pokemon Detective Pikachu” and “Dungeons & Dragons: King of Thieves,” is an unsuccessful artist who is initially excited to learn that he has super powers But when society gets him a job at a major social media platform, he realizes he is nothing more than a diversity recruit Disillusioned with the mission, he begins to rebel against the flaws in the system and disrupts the magic of the Society The fantasy film also stars David Alan Greer as Allen's mentor Roger

All seven seasons of CBS' “Elementary” are on Prime Video this month The Emmy-nominated police drama is one of several Sherlock Holmes re-imaginings that took Hollywood by storm in the 2010s, but still managed to hold its own What sets it apart is its contemporary New York setting and the introduction of Dr Watson (Lucy Liu), a gender-bending doctor who is Holmes' equal, rather than second-guessing him as his assistant

Jonny Lee Miller (“Eli Stone”) plays the detective himself, who has just fallen on hard times after entering rehab Still struggling with the addiction that cut short his illustrious career in London, he teams up with Dr Watson, a former surgeon and addiction specialist, at his father's urging, to prevent a relapse Much to Watson's annoyance, Holmes is determined to implement his own post-rehab regimen of solving difficult cases for the NYPD

I had never seen the first “Puss in Boots” film, so when my anime-geek friends started raving about “Puss in Boots: So when my anime-geek friends started raving about ”Puss in Boots So when my anime-otaku friends started raving about “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” I was quite skeptical But this sequel, ten years in the making, is a rare spinoff that surpasses the original and, in terms of quality, rivals the Spider-verse series

“Puss in Boots: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” is a sharp reimagining of the character that blends 3D and 2D animation with lush backgrounds, stylized visuals, and vibrant colors that evoke the feeling of fairy tale illustrations Antonio Banderas is joined by Kitty, played by Salma Hayek, and her fairy tale friends, including Jack Horner (John Mulaney), Goldilocks (Florence Pugh), and the three bear crime families (Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone, Samson Kayo), return as the famous cats
