How much does it cost to buy a new iPhone 16 Pro? While the regular iPhone 16 is expected to stay at the same $799 price tag as the last few generations, there is some concern that the Pro model could increase in price Fortunately, there doesn't seem to be much to worry about

According to Mark Garman, Apple is likely to keep the selling price of the iPhone 16 Pro at $999 This means that Apple will not do anything like what it did with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which was to eliminate the 128GB storage option, effectively raising the price by $100 While this contradicts earlier speculation about the 16 Pro's price, we can agree that keeping the price unchanged is a good thing

The 256GB iPhone 15 Pro Max was priced the same as the 256GB iPhone 14 Pro Max, but without the 128GB storage option, the cost of entry was higher It was not ideal for those who wanted to get special new features like the tetra prismatic lens at the lowest possible price

While I disagree with the fact that the 128GB storage option has been around this long, the lower price has made these phones slightly more affordable Or as affordable as a $1,000+ phone can be

Garman also noticed that the touch-sensitive camera button, previously known as the capture button, is expected to be available on all iPhone 16 models This is something we had already heard was happening, and it is good to keep hearing it from reliable sources like Gurman

Also worth noting is the improved battery life and thinner bezels on the Pro model Both are great upgrades No one likes huge bezels, and strong battery life is arguably the most important repertoire of a smartphone

The iPhone 15 series had pretty solid battery life, but the iPhone 15 Pro is in the weaker category with 10 hours and 53 minutes in our custom battery life test While not a bad score, there is certainly room for improvement, and we hope the iPhone 16 Pro can add a couple of hours to this time
