A few weeks ago a set of renders leaked, purporting to show off the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and now we have a new quartet of images to compare
The latest images come to us courtesy of Android Headlines and regular leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, OnLeaks on X, who put together a new photo of the black version of Samsung's next flagship device
We should see the debut of the Galaxy S25 Ultra in January 2025, similar to when Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 lineup and the Galaxy S23 series
As far as we know, the biggest cosmetic change for the S25 will be flatter sides and much more curved corners, similar to the Pixel 9 and iPhone 16 designs
For the S25 Ultra, Samsung plans to keep some things intact, including the camera, except for the upgraded ultra-wide lens, and the current 5,000 mAh battery that has been on several previous Ultra phones
It will likely utilize the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which should be detailed in October, and should include many new AI features
The S25 Ultra will reportedly weigh 219g, compared to the S24 Ultra's 232g and the new iPhone 16 Pro Max's 227g
Interestingly, Ice Universe, which provided the previous S25 Ultra renderings, responded to OnLeaks' images, pointing out several errors and accusing them of missing details from the CAD files they had access to
One is that the phone's bezel and metal frame are in error Our brief examination of the different renderings did not reveal any significant differences in the bezel The frames also looked mainly the same, with some of the details moving or missing
They also stated that the “rear camera texture detail” was speculative and borrowed OnLeaks' style from the Z Fold 6 They added that this “could be completely wrong and the true design is currently unknown” To their credit, none of the renderings show the back of the phone
It should also be noted that there is no S-Pen or SIM card slot in the renderings We highly doubt that Samsung will remove the stylus from the Galaxy S25 Ultra That would be quite a change But whatever CAD files OnLeaks and Ice Universe are basing their images on, they probably don't have all the phone details
As always, taking renderings and leaks with a grain of salt is a good reminder, as things change or are not true
