So what is today's connection answer for game #459
Drum roll, please
Yesterday's 4 was a breeze, today's 32 was a struggle, but this is definitely my own fault
I kicked into the Japanese cuisine category with confidence by combining sake, Kobe, mochi and curry Strike One
The problem for me is that I keep reading sake as a Japanese alcoholic beverage and be careful as "Pete's Sake", which I now know well to double-check my first category answers to see if they fit better somewhere else "It's on me
After Strike One, we saw birds and magic almost immediately So putting those NBA legends in Kobe (Boo) and Curry was an easy task
Next, I moved to the yellow category with bookmarks, Favorites, Likes, and saves
Here I was holding liquor as a drink, so I started a strike I had benefits, benefits and interests After taking a few strikes, leaving me one, I finally succumbed to sake and put it here for the green category I'm not sure if advantage will work in this category, but who will comment at this point
I have mentioned before that my most favorite type of purple category is the one you need to delete the letter to see it Possible Today's hidden Greeks did not love me in the category, it remains at the bottom of my personal ranking
In any case, this was (b) iota, (f) eta, mo(chi), and pe(psi)
Read this later in the time zone According to Connections Companion, Connections answers for game #4 out of 5 with a difficulty rating of 457 are:
After a few consecutive days where the puzzle sits at a difficulty of 33, today leapt straight to four Does it match that difficulty?
Much of today is based on idioms and slang, and if you don't know or have never heard of it, it can make it more difficult Personally, I found it easier today than yesterday
Kicking it off, we had slang and yellow categories for a lot of money; bundles, fortune, mint and pile
It is appropriate that the purple category is full of purple-colored items such as amethyst, eggplant, grimace (of McDonald's fame) and lavender
I saw the blue connection while putting together the purple category and decided to save it for myself This meant digging up nuggets, pearls, kernels and greens for a bite of wisdom
Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies of all time, so it was a nice capper to a day with Amber, dinosaurs, mosquitoes and paleontologists
The question with today's answer is whether you are knowledgeable enough to make it the hardest puzzle of the week so far
