Many customers are probably waiting with bated breath for their pre-ordered iPhone 16 While that may be stressful, there is an easy way to track the journey of your new phone until it arrives in your hands
Apple recently began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series, with the first orders expected to arrive around September 20 Waiting for a new phone can be tedious and stressful, but Apple is not much help This is due to Apple's order tracker, which tends to show “preparing to ship” until closer to the release date However, there is another way to track phones in real time
The best way to get detailed tracking data is to go directly to the UPS site, which tracks the movement of your device, regardless of what the Apple site says The usual method is to use the UPS Track by Reference Number, which is usually the phone number listed on the Apple order form, but without the last two numbers However, UPS has changed this feature in recent years to enhance security, so it is not the best option available
A better option is to enroll in the UPS My Choice feature This service will automatically show you all packages that will be delivered to your address, including your new iPhone 16 There are two tiers to this service, the first is free and the second costs $1999 per year This feature has several other benefits for frequent users of the service, including the ability to easily change delivery dates
There is much to be excited about with the release of the iPhone 16 series, including the new A18 chip, which outperformed the Geekbench scores of the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 9 There are also several camera upgrades to both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, including support for spatial photography and video, not to mention a significant improvement in experience once Apple Intelligence is released
It should be noted that not all phones have been handed over to UPS yet, so you may not see your order yet In the meantime, we have a complete breakdown of everything announced at Apple's Glowtime event
