Android 15 on Samsung Galaxy Phones Retreats Again - What You Need to Know

When will Android 15 arrive? According to the latest rumors, the OS will be available on Pixel phones starting October 15 But what if you are an avid owner of a Samsung Galaxy phone? It looks like the upgrade will take a little longer

9to5Google noted that the OneUI 7 beta, which provides a beta version of Android 15 for Galaxy phones, is a month behind schedule We had previously heard that the OneUI 7 beta failed to meet its mid-July release date and has since been delayed indefinitely after suffering multiple delays

Currently, Samsung does not appear to have a firm plan as to when they will actually release the update According to a moderator on Samsung's community forum (via SamMobile), a rollout date for the OneUI 7 beta will be revealed “as soon as it is determined”

It is hard to believe that Samsung's leadership does not have some idea of when the OneUI 7 beta will be released Therefore, it is likely that decisions made or ongoing discussions are being kept close to the chest until a concrete announcement can be made The last thing Samsung would want is to announce something and then have to postpone it again

Unfortunately, however, if there are still many uncertainties about the OneUI 7 beta release, that does not bode well for the final version There is a reason software undergoes public beta testing, and a short gap between beta and stable releases seems like a recipe for disaster

It probably doesn't help that Google appears to be having problems getting Android 15 ready this year The software did not launch with the Pixel 9, as has become customary, and has yet to begin rolling out to Pixel phones This is despite the fact that it has already been completed and sent to the Android open source project Even if this is not the direct cause, it certainly has not helped Samsung's OneUI 7 woes

We expect to know more by Samsung's developer conference scheduled for October 3 It is essentially Samsung's version of WWDC or Google I/O, which means that OneUI 7 should be in the spotlight of some sort Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see what happens
