Apple, keep it up! Samsung “Galaxy S25 Ultra” Leak Reveals Thinner Bezels Than iPhone 16 Pro Max

Smartphone bezels have reached the point where they are almost non-existent But that hasn't stopped major handset makers from trying to make bezels even smaller This is a race to the edge that benefits smartphone shoppers, and some of the best phones tend to have thinner bezels

Apple just launched the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a larger screen and smaller bezels, but Samsung is already preparing to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra according to a new report from Ice Universe, Samsung is making the Galaxy S24 Ultra claims to shave about 02mm off the bezel compared to the previous model

The report claims that the bezels will be slightly thinner than those on the iPhone 16 Pro Max We're talking a few tenths of a millimeter here, so don't expect the overall difference to be very noticeable However, if Ice Universe is correct, it will be a small feather in Samsung's cap A very small feature, but a feather in the cap nonetheless

This comes after reports last month that Samsung is trying to increase the screen on the S25 Ultra without increasing the physical size of the device so much The only way to accomplish this is to shrink the area around the display, which appears to be the company's plan

Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra in early 2025, so expect to learn more about screen size, bezel size, and all the other good stuff that will go into Samsung's next high-end flagship In the meantime, check out our iPhone 16 Pro Max review to get an impression of Apple's top-of-the-line smartphone and its already minuscule bezels

It will likely feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, faster UFS 41, up to 16GB of RAM, and a better camera The latter will be important as the iPhone 16 Pro Max continues to take top honors in our list of best camera phones, delivering better results with its main camera and low-light performance
