The first episode of “Fromm” Season 3 is finally airing - and the show is still finding ways to shock me!

One of my favorite dark thrillers, “Fromm” has captivated me since its release I still remember the first time I heard about the film, I was intrigued by the way the enigmatic town traps people The first episode alone was enough to grab my attention and I binge watched the first two seasons on Prime Video

So you can imagine my excitement when Season 3 finally came out yesterday (September 22) Now, I've only seen the first episode, but it's clear that the show continues to raise the bar in terms of pure horror And this season has not hesitated to return to the heavy-handed action that made it so memorable in the first place

If the rest of the season continues in this vein, there's no doubt that there are some wild twists and turns ahead For those who would like to hear more of my thoughts on the season premiere, here are my thoughts on the show But if you're a “Fromm” newbie and haven't yet experienced its twists and turns, now is the perfect time to click through before we enter serious spoiler territory

Here's how to watch “Fromm” Season 3 online from anywhere

What I love most about “Fromm” is that no time is wasted and you are thrown straight into the story without question The episode begins with Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) waking up in the hospital Most of the episode unfolds as she tries to find her bearings, and she meets Victor's (Scott McCord) father

While Tabitha struggles with an unexpected return to normalcy, residents stuck in the town face an urgent crisis Tensions escalate when a desperate Randall (AJ Simmons) threatens to kill and eat a goat This scene alone shows just how desperate the poor people are

Despite the lack of significant action at this point, there is enough terror to keep you watching It's not how much bloody carnage you see on the screen, but how uncomfortable you are made to feel before the tension is released

Of course, there are some slow moments in this episode (which are, frankly, pointless) Jim (Ione Bailey) sets out to find Tabitha in the wilderness in an attempt to bring her back to her children, but in the end, “it wasn't the best idea,” so he decides to return to town again Kenny (Ricky Hee), who offers to join him, even looks a bit puzzled (because why make such an effort?) Their choice, however, comes at the same time that all hell breaks loose

The worst turns to panic as the creatures of the surrounding forest let the goats and cows escape and roam freely throughout the town Boyd (Harold Perrineau) and several residents take desperate action to hunt down the animals [Boyd and Kenny's mother, Tian Chen (Elizabeth Moy), succeed in getting the animals back into the barn Because what a way to end the first episode

Well, I must say that the ending disappointed me (in a good way) Because I did not expect a major character to die so quickly and in the most horrific way possible Because I did not expect a major character to die so quickly and in the most horrific way possible

Following the confusion of the cows and goats, Boyd and Tian Cheng find momentary relief in the barn Of course, it doesn't last long, and at this moment I felt the need to hide behind my hands Several creatures were already waiting inside, quickly subduing Boyd, tying him to a post, and letting him watch as they slowly began to torture Tian Cheng in front of him The creatures had only one goal: to mentally “break” him

Everything about this scene was so haunting that I still can't get it out of my head Instead of showing us what is happening, we are left with only the chilling sound of Tian Chen's screams echoing through the barn Boyd's desperate voice shouting words of encouragement to her and telling her to stay strong makes this ending utterly horrifying I have to admit that ending the episode with this shocking cliffhanger left me reeling

The first episode set the stage for what has the potential to be the darkest season yet There is no telling how far these creatures will go in their attempts to destroy the Void Their evil machinations will range from targeting those whom Boyd holds dear (again) to orchestrating scenarios that will turn the residents against each other out of desperation The psychological distress would likely be as intense as the physical danger

But we all have similar concerns For him, who has already lost his father to the creature, this crisis feels more personal and devastating And it feels like it will only get worse from here

From everything we witnessed in the first episode, I can't shake the feeling that “From” Season 3 is not only going to destroy Boyd, but also push us, the viewers, to our limits The residents still don't know how to get out of town, but in the midst of the madness, I pray that we get more answers as to why this town and creature exists Frankly, I'm not ready yet

The second episode of “Fromm” Season 3 will air on MGM Plus on Sunday, September 29
