Hello Strands fans! Today's puzzle took me a while to figure out because the theme was “Spacing out” and it seemed a bit sketchy At first I thought it was an astronomy problem, but when I couldn't find any planets, galaxies, NASA technology, etc, I decided I was going in the wrong direction
Fortunately, I then watched “ALIEN” and realized that this was on the more fanciful end of the cosmic spectrum Sure enough, when I saw the SCIENCEFICTION spangram spelled out from top to bottom, I stayed away
Since the spangram and my existing answer neatly coded ROBOT, I then got it MARTIAN was in the upper left corner, followed by DROID below it
The only two answers left were in the lower left corner, both spelled backwards This puzzled me for a moment, but when I found MUTANT, I realized that the remaining stray “Y” was part of the CYBORG to complete the puzzle
