I'm looking for more shows like “Snowpiercer” I don't blame you The show just finished its final season after taking over two years off The series finale just aired this past Monday, so it's no surprise that some of us are still in need of a dystopian sci-fi thriller fix
Lucky for you, we at Tom's Guide have you covered As a fan of dystopian sci-fi thrillers myself, I didn't have to go too far down memory lane to find shows with similar themes to this AMC series; some are more sci-fi, some are more thriller, but all will fill the void left by “Snowpiercer” So without further ado, here are the five best “Snowpiercer”-like shows to watch now that “Snowpiercer” is over
Based on Isaac Asimov's influential “Foundation” series, this Apple TV Plus adaptation does a great job with a difficult-to-adapt source material Starring Lee Pace as Brother Day, one of three genetic clones who rule as emperor of a galactic empire long inherited from Earth Brother Day's power is called into question when renowned mathematician Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) develops the field of psychohistory, an algorithmic science that can predict the future with unmatched accuracy
To immediately address Seldon's threat, Day allows Seldon and his followers to create a foundation on Terminus, a remote world on the edge of the Empire This decision ultimately saves humanity, but at the cost of threatening Day's rule Fans of “Snowpiercer” will appreciate “Foundation” and its plot to overthrow a tyrant, and will find a connection between Sean Bean's performance in the former and Lee Pace's great performance in the latter

“Silo,” currently in production for Season 2, is based on the “Wool” trilogy of novels by Hugh Howey Like “Snowpiercer,” the show is set in a post-apocalyptic world where going outside feels impossible
But instead of a giant train rocketing around the planet, the people of “Silo” live in a massive 144-story underground structure, and like “Snowpiercer,” the residents rule with an iron fist Questioning the established order means instant death, and those who question it are forced to leave their silos and face a painful, slow death in the wasteland above ground If you liked “Snowpiercer,” this show should be the next easy one to get into
