The Last of Us” Season 2 Trailer Released - Perfectly Done

“The Last of Us” Season 1 has (rightfully) earned a reputation as one of the best video game adaptations to ever grace the screen

Max's version of the PlayStation game was a must-see drama, whether or not you were an avid fan of the original title And judging by the trailer for Season 2 of “The Last Of Us,” which was released today (on The Last Of Us Day), the show's production team looks set for another stunning TV season

If you haven't played “The Last Of Us Part II” yet, you should experience its story before you play it Just know that it is much darker and even more of an emotional roller coaster than the one adapted in Season 1

The stakes are much higher and danger lurks around every corner Judging by the overall mood of this new trailer - a general melancholy tinged with fear set-pieces and emotional intensity - “The Last Of Us” Season 2 looks, well, perfect It's as if parts of the game have literally come to life Check it out below:

There is very little dialogue in this teaser, instead allowing anyone who played the game to fill in the gaps in the story Joel is questioned about “what he did,” a large number of infected people appear, there are ominous glimpses of the dark side of the franchise, there are scenes of conflict, and quite a few tears are shed [Caitlin Dever as Abby, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac, Isabella Merced as Dina, Young Magino as Jesse, Spencer Lord, Danny Ramirez, Tati Gabriel, Ariella Baller, etc Catherine O'Hara will also guest star in the new season

Look, if you want to go in completely blind, you don't have to read further But if you want a hint of the “The Last Of Us” Season 2 storyline, here's the official description: “After five years of peace following the events of Season 1, Joel and Ellie's past catches up with them, and they are drawn into a world of mutual conflict and even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left and drags them into a world that is even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind

Sadly, having seen this trailer, I am trying to plan how in the world I am going to wrestle with this powerful story again, but one thing is missing: a release date As of this writing, all we know is that “The Last Of Us” Season 2 will be released at some point in 2025 Hopefully, early in 2025
