Hello Strands fans! At first I was a bit lost, thinking this was about medieval history, which I know very little about

However, while collecting words for the “hints and tokens” section above, I happened to find WALL and realized that this was about a particular structure On a hunch, I found MOAT to the right of it, and below that I found the spangram of CASTLE

From there it was pretty easy: DRAWBRIDGE was by far the biggest answer, directly below the spangram, and TOWER was tucked away to the lower left below it KEEP was neatly coded between the two

There were two remaining answers, both of which gave me pause The lower right TURRET was the first one I figured out, but the last answer in the upper right took a reasonably long time to figure out

But eventually I got there: courtyard
