Hello Strands fans! The puzzle-setter at the New York Times has come up with the perfect pun on the subject of “hairy style”
Of course, it's obvious that this is about haircuts, but even after narrowing down the types by spangram, I had a hard time naming them all
However, there are some unusual letters on this board, and the two “Z's” and one “X” in the top half set me up nicely, first “BUZZ” and then “PIXIE”; FLATTOP was also very obvious, spelled out to the left of both
What do these hairstyles have in common? Next, the SHORTCUTS spangram (another quality pun!) helped me get the idea
I got the FADE at the bottom right of the board, but by this point my knowledge of haircuts was almost exhausted I had to use hints
There were two left, and SHAG had revealed the first path in PAGEBOY Only FAUXHAWK remained
