Now, what is the answer to today's game #484 Connection?
Drum roll please
I was surprised that today's clue was the first in the purple category, as it initially looked like an alphabet soup Having reviewed “Nope” the other day, I already had the terribly famous primates in mind, so scooping up Bubbles, Coco, King Kong, and George was easy (although I looked at the last one blankly for a minute until I remembered that “Curious” is an adjective, not a first name (It was)
Then came the yellow categories of ding-dong, dodo, yahoo, and yo-yo I struck out on my first guess, thinking that this category was a name for people who behaved foolishly, and that Hoot would fall into this category
Next was the blue category of Beep Beep, Purr, Skrrt, and Vroom, but I made another mistake because I forgot that Skrrt was an onomatopoeic word before it was a slang word
And the blue category became today's fill for memorization, with Ha Ha Ha, Hoot, Hoop, and Yook
Are you reading this late in the day? According to Connections Companion, the difficulty level was 23 out of 5
I have a ridiculously fluffy orange cat named Cheeto that has hair all over the place (yes, the stereotype that orange cats share one brain cell is totally true) So my first thought was that Shed meant a physical structure, but after looking at Knead, Purr, and Scratch, it became instantly clear what Connections Crew meant instead
Cheeto is also one of the most timid pets I have ever owned, despite having lived the good old house cat life since birth So yesterday's yellow category could easily be summed up as “run away,” “leave,” “retreat,” and “retract,” all things I've seen him do when confronted with anything from a vacuum cleaner to a straw wrapper I don't like the look of
Even in yesterday's most difficult category, I found myself thinking about the little guy, who, in the end, was just as much a part of my life as I was, if not more so
So blue became “About Us,” “Contact,” “Home,” and “Login” by rote, but I managed to guess before the relevance became obvious, so I'll pat myself on the back for winning 4-4 yesterday The cheat also helped me mentally, so I think I should reward him
