'Nobody Wants This' Season 2 in the Works - Here's what we know about the return of Netflix's hit romantic comedy

Good news, rom-com fans: Netflix has decided to air “Nobody Wants This” Season 2!

Yes, just two weeks after its premiere on one of the best streaming services, Netflix, and on the fast track to the No 1 spot, Erin Foster's binge-worthy romance has dodged the sad fate of many Netflix shows (yes, I'm still mourning the recent ” Kaos” cancellations)

If you haven't streamed it yet, “Nobody Wants This” tells the love story of podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and rabbi Noah (Adam Brody)

In a statement on Tudum, Foster shared a statement about the show's renewal, where she revealed how excited she is to bring the show on for more

“The production of Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me,” Foster said

“The amazing cast, crew, producers, and executives made the show what it is today, and to experience the audience reaction to the series now that it's out in the world has been beyond anything I could have dreamed of”

If you are one of the many viewers who have already watched all 10 episodes of Nobody Wants This, you must be dying to know what the two lovebirds will do next

When we saw them off at the end, it looked as if they were going to go their separate ways ended with a romantic kiss in the parking lot after leaving the Bat Mitzvah

Clearly, both Joanne and Noah were eager to try and see if things would work out, and Netflix gave them even more time to navigate the next steps We don't have many details about what happens next, but there are a few tidbits courtesy of Adam Brody

In the same Tudum post, Brody revealed that he interpreted the ending as Noah making a big promise to Joanne That big gesture was Noah's way of saying: “I will put you first Everything else will work out, but you are my first priority,” he said

He also teased that the second season would delve further into the tensions in their relationship, especially whether everything would really work out, and would look further at the compromises they would have to make for each other

“I think that's what this show can explore,” Brody added 'What should he do? What should she do? What sacrifices are worth it? What is growth, or dimming yourself to be with someone else? It's a sacrifice, but ideally, we grow together and become better

Aside from this teaser, we also know that “Nobody Wants This” will have a new showrunner Yes, “Girls” creators Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan are joining the show as exec producers and new showrunners

The pair describe the role as a “dream job,” with Connor stating: “Erin is a rare creator with a crystal clear voice and a genuinely collaborative spirit” Kaplan added: “I am incredibly excited to be a part of season two of Nobody Wants This It's a very unique and beautiful show, and I'm already having the best time on it,” he added

While there is no casting information to share right now, Netflix has already confirmed that viewers will not have to wait too long for the return of Nobody Wants This, as we will see more of Joanne and Noah in 2025!
