The new “Everything else” feature of Google Wallet, announced at Google's I/O event in May, has finally been rolled out to Android users
In a new feature discovered by 9to5 Google, Google Wallet removes the “photo” option for non-ID documents Under “Other,” users can now scan any pass, including concert tickets, insurance cards, library cards, etc
As Google announced in May, “simply taking a photo of an event ticket, library card, car insurance card, gym membership card, or any other pass you use on a daily basis will create a digital version in Google Wallet for quick access”
If you want to try Everything else, go to Google Wallet now and tap the “Add to Google Wallet” button Scroll down to the Everything Else section, where you'll find the “Add to Google Wallet” button, which will take you to the “Add to Google Wallet” section
When you first open Everything else, you will find a page describing the app and detailing how the AI feature is used to “determine the type of pass to add and suggest pass content”
The page states that the feature is experimental and may make inaccurate suggestions
They also add that sensitive documents such as health and government IDs can be recorded as “private” and will not be synced to other devices and require authentication before access
