Now that the Google Pixel 9 series has been officially announced and its features thoroughly dissected, you probably want to order one of your own That's because two of these models are already in high demand

Google has announced release dates for the new models: August 22 for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL, and September 4 for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold The base Pixel 9 and Pro XL are still easily available from both Google and Amazon (the two main retailers currently selling the new Pixel) and will ship to your door within a day or two of the 22nd The other two, however, may be more tricky

Most Pixel 9 Pro colorings in the Google Store are about a week late, and using the Tom's Guide New York office zip code, the earliest they could ship is September 10

However, the green/gray Hazel version is expected to ship around September 24, three weeks after the retail launch, and appears to be the most popular Specifying more storage will reduce wait times, but it will mean paying more

Fortunately, Amazon sells the Pixel 9 Pro in Hazel, Porcelain, and Obsidian and ships without issue a few days after launch However, Google is offering free store credit with purchase, which could make it even more affordable for those who are prepared to wait

On the other hand, est Buy only lists the Pixel 9 Pro as “Coming Soon,” so no version of this phone is actually available for purchase yet things are even worse when looking at the Pixel 9 Pro Fold Its 512GB porcelain version is completely out of stock in the US Google Store, and the standard 256GB version is scheduled to be available starting September 17

But on the bright side, orders for the Obsidian version should arrive on launch day from Google and Best Buy; unfortunately for Amazon, there are no Pixel 9 Pro Folds available from the official Google Store
