Dyson has introduced not one, but two new products in its latest lineup called The Chitosan Series, which includes several hair styling products designed to tame frizz, boost shine, and improve hold on the iconic hair styler

But the second installment is even more exciting (and unexpected) It is a new version of the popular multi-styler, officially called the Dyson Airwrap id

Dyson has always been obsessed with keeping hair and scalp in tip-top shape, and now the company is getting in on the action with an app Based on hair type, length, and confidence in hair styling, the MyDyson app will guide you through the styling process

Airwrap looks much the same as the design of the previous tools, but with a technological twist: the MyDyson app allows you to create a hair profile by answering a few questions about your hair Once you answer those questions, it will suggest special styling options for you The app initiates the routine by changing the temperature, air volume, and timing according to your hair type, and finishes it off with a cool shot

Most notably, the app is designed to make caring for your Airwrap easier It gives updates on the condition of the filter, tips on how to care for it, and alerts you if any problems arise

It is clear from the product changes that Dyson has paid attention to past feedback from customers People were confused about how long they should leave their hair in the barrel or use the cool shot feature With the new app and hair tools, they don't have to worry about that anymore

The new Airwap itself comes with three new attachments The first is a conical barrel, starting at 30 mm wide and decreasing to 20 mm at the tip This design helps create a more defined curl

The new styling tools come with a Wave + Curl Diffuser, which spreads air to enhance natural-looking waves Finally, there is a new blade concentrator attachment with improved smoothing capabilities When used with the brush, it helps create cool flicks at the ends of the hair (and helps get rid of pesky hang-ups) So you can achieve the classic blow-dry look

The Dyson Airwrap id will be available in the UK on August 27 Pricing and release dates for the US and Australia are currently not available (will update when known) At this time, updates can be obtained via the Dyson newsletter
