The Five have been talking about the end since the beginning, and "Umbrella Academy" Season 4 will truly be the last of the acclaimed Netflix series based on the Dark Horse comic written by Gerard Way and adapted by Gabriel Bar-Irast But before the final episode of this dysfunctional superhero family is credited, the cast and crew reflect on their six-year journey

Netflix's official YouTube channel released a new behind-the-scenes video of the series just days before the final season is released for streaming In the video, titled "The Road to the Final Season," the cast and crew recall how far they have come, both on and off screen

Emmy Raver-Lampman talks about how Alison Hargreaves was her first major role in Hollywood, despite a remarkable career in theater with "Hamilton" and "SpongeBob: The New Musical": The New Musical" Aidan Gallagher recounts how he was only 13 years old when he first joined the production, and how he literally grew up before our eyes And Elliott Page talks about how "special an experience" he had with "Umbrella Academy" during an emotional final day on set

From behind the camera, showrunner Steve Blackman expresses how lucky he feels to have worked on this project for so long But while he will miss working with these characters again, Blackman says the show "reminded me why I love my job and why I love storytelling"

And while the thought may be bittersweet, when it came to heralding the end of the story, Blackman only mentioned that it was "fair to the characters, fair to the fans, and fair to the original story"
