"Splashy event"

Hello Strands fans! This time it was much easier for me than yesterday. The "splashy event" theme made me think of water, and when I spotted NOODLES in the upper left corner, I immediately thought it must be a pool toy.

In fact, when I connected the MUSIC to the bottom, it was not. Rather, this was more about the "event" part of the clue than the water part, and I quickly confirmed this by connecting the POOLPARTY spangram along the middle.

Even if the weather and housing conditions in the UK meant that pool parties were not that big on the Atlantic side where I live, everything else was pretty easy.

FLOATS are in the lower right corner and SUNSCREEN has completed the bottom half of the grid. All that remained was TOWELS and DRINKS in the upper right corner, and the puzzle was complete.
