Despite their marginalized status, the agents, led by the sharp but angry Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), get caught up in a dangerous and risky mission One of my favorite shows on Apple TV Plus (and in general), I can't recommend I can't recommend it enough.

Have you seen the original "Time Bandits" from the 80s? Well, a live-action remake has just appeared and we highly recommend you check it out. The show follows Kevin (Kal-El Tuck), an 11-year-old history buff, who teams up with a group of time-traveling thieves. Together they travel through various historical eras and witness important events such as the birth of Stonehenge and the Trojan War. Their ultimate goal is to save Kevin's parents and the world they know.

The series features an ensemble cast that includes Lisa Kudrow, Tad Murphy, Jemaine Clement, and Taika Waititi. If you enjoy a mix of humor, action, and historical intrigue, this show is definitely for you.

"Lady in the Lake" is a noir thriller set in 1966 Baltimore. Jewish housewife Maddy Schwartz (Natalie Portman) leaves her past behind and becomes an investigative journalist. Her life intersects with that of her mother, Cleo Johnson (Moses Ingram), who is involved in the black political struggle in Baltimore. As Maddy investigates Cleo's mysterious death, their stories converge, revealing the high risks women face in pursuing their dreams.

The show is based on Laura Lippman's 2019 novel and directed by Alma Haerl. It explores themes of ambition, identity, and the social pressures on women during that era. If you like complex stories, Lady in the Lake will be your next memorable chunk of ambitious TV.
