The launch price for Venu Sport is $43 per month.

Three giant media companies are coming together to offer a new service for streaming: Venu Sports. When this service was first announced, we didn't know what the monthly fee would be, and we were surprised to learn that the service would be available for a fee of $3.99 per month. However, we have now learned the initial price of the service, and the results are not good news for sports fans with limited budgets.

According to a press release from the service, Venu Sports will offer an introductory monthly fee of $42.99 for a limited time. This rate will apply for 12 months for those who sign up during the promotional period; after one year, subscribers may cancel the service at any time.

Now, it is worth noting that no one has said that the price will increase after the first year, but the use of terms like "launch price" and the statement that "those who sign up at Venu's launch price will receive service at the same price for 12 months from the time of sign-up" certainly implies that the price is not here to stay.

The service, which will launch in the fall, will offer thousands of live sporting events from many major professional sports leagues and top college conferences. It is intended to be an alternative for those who are fed up with paying for traditional cable television to watch their teams play. However, due to exclusives and various broadcast deals, this service does not give you access to all your favorite games, so streamers like YouTube TV or even traditional cable packages may still require cable of some sort.

If you subscribe to Venu Sports, you can use ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV, and the streaming service ESPN+. The service features NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, WNBA, NCAA Division I football and basketball, U.S. and world soccer, combat sports, Grand Slam tennis, championship golf, INDYCAR, NASCAR, Formula 1 and other leagues

"Sports.

"With its impressive portfolio of sports programming, Venu offers U.S. sports fans a single destination to watch many of the most popular games and events. We are building Venu from the ground up for fans who want seamless access to watch the sports they love, and we plan to launch at an attractive price point that will appeal to cord-cutters and cord-never fans not currently offered in existing pay TV packages." [Fans of sports talk shows will also enjoy Venu, as we offer shows like "SportsCenter," "First Take," "Get Up!", "College GameDay" and "The Pat McAfee Show.

It is more expensive than other streaming services, but given the availability of all live and on-demand sports content, it is not a bad value proposition for enthusiasts.
