Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Price, Release Date, and Promo Video Revealed in Leak

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Price, Release Date, and Promo Video Revealed in Leak

We are just a few days away from the Made by Google event in August where the Google Pixel 9 series will be announced. Unfortunately, recent leaks suggest that the release date for the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be delayed. Meanwhile, other information seems to confirm what the price will be in the US.

The first leak comes courtesy of Android Headlines and concerns the release date of Google's next-generation smartphone. According to the report, the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL will be available for purchase on August 22, with pre-orders shipping a few days before that.

However, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Google Buds Pro 2 will not ship until September. According to the report, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be available starting September 4. This means that those looking to get their hands on what could be one of the best foldable phones of 2024 will have to wait a while. At least the second recent leak indicates that pricing may make up for it.

While we may know when the phone will be released, the more sensible question is how much it will cost. Tipster OnLeaks partnered with 91mobiles to reveal a potential answer in an exclusive report: the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will launch in two variants, with the 256GB model coming in at $1,799 and the 512GB model at $1,919. If accurate, Google has not increased the price over the original Google Pixel Fold. This differs from Samsung.

While this price may seem high, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold could deliver thanks to improved RAM and the Google Tensor G4 chip, rumored to be based on the Exynos chip, although the Tensor series was never powerful The new architecture could give the Pixel 9 Pro Fold a significant boost in computing power and add AI capabilities that were not present in last year's G3-powered Pixel 8 series. In addition to this, recent leaks indicate that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be even slimmer than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Another leak came from OnLeaks in conjunction with Android Headlines. Together they shared a promo video of a new phone that leaves little to the imagination.

There are always a lot of unknowns when a big company announces a surprise event, especially when it comes to when you can get the device and how much it will cost.
