Top 10 Netflix Movies - Here are 3 worth watching now!

As the weather outside gets hotter, Netflix is delivering plenty of blockbusters to beat the heat from the comfort of your couch. I don't know about you, but when I'm not sure what to watch, I go straight to the top 10 most-watched movies. Of course, there's no guarantee that all of them are winners, but it's a handy way to cut through the noise quickly.

With that in mind, let's help you figure out what to watch by narrowing down the best three to watch on Netflix's Top 10 Movies list. This list includes a war thriller that audiences loved despite its poor box office performance, the latest installment in a hit horror-comedy franchise, and an earworm animated film the whole family can enjoy.

This article is based on the Netflix Top 10 list of the most-watched movies in the U.S. as of 12 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 25. For further recommendations on what to watch across the best streaming services, check out Netflix's All New This Month.

One of the biggest box office flops of the year is finding new life on streaming, and judging by Rotten Tomatoes' 94% attendance score, critics may have been too quick to judge. You may not have heard of “Land of Bad” until it hit Netflix's Top 10 this week, but it looks to be a war thriller for the ages.

Co-written and directed by William Eubank, the film follows a U.S. Army Delta Force unit on a mission to retrieve a CIA agent who has fallen into enemy hands in the Philippines. After his comrade is killed and left behind enemy lines, rookie Sergeant JJ Kinney (Liam Hemsworth) is forced to rely on the remote guidance of drone pilot Captain Eddie Grimm “The Reaper” (Russell Crowe) to reach the rescue point safely.

The Trolls are back! Trolls Band Together is the latest installment in DreamWorks' animated series based on the wild-haired toy doll of the same name. If you don't have a youngster in your life who wants to see the Trolls movie over and over again, I'll give you the elevator pitch: a stellar cast (including some real pop stars) comes together to sing karaoke to the kaleidoscopic, colorful visuals and humor of the film.

When Branch (Justin Timberlake), Poppy (Anna Kendrick), and their friends go to the rescue of their brother Floyd (Troye Sivan), they discover that the grumpy, music-hating Branch was once a member of the boy band Brozon. The other members are Eric Andre, David Diggs, and Kid Cudi. This latest “Trolls” film is also a de facto NSYNC reunion, with the boy band performing their original songs for the first time in decades for the film.
