OpenAI has released a new search engine that runs on the GPT-4AI model called SearchGPT Unlike other AI tools, the state-of-the-art search engine provides real-time access to information on the Internet
Currently, SearchGPT is a prototype being tested by OpenAI This AI company is creating a waiting list for people who want to see the search engine in action
Based on the example provided by OpenAI, SearchGPT is a large text box that asks the searcher, “What are you looking for?” a large text box that asks the searcher, “What are you looking for? Compared to Google search results, the GPT version attempts to summarize and organize the information found Links are still available in the accessible sidebar
Results can be followed up with related queries using the chat box at the bottom of the page The summary is expected to have inline attributes and links so that users can look up the source of the information and read more about the topic
It is unclear how long OpenAI will allow SearchGPT to function as an independent tool They have stated that their goal is to eventually ''integrate the best of these features directly into ChatGPT in the future''
