Netflix Top 10 Shows - Here are 3 shows worth watching now

Tom's Guide considers Netflix to be one of the best streaming services thanks to the huge variety of shows and movies in its library. And when you're wondering what to watch next, Netflix's top 10 shows list can be a handy tool to make that choice a little easier.

But even so, the list still lists 10 potential shows, and you don't even know if the most popular shows are right for you. So I looked through the list (as of 5:30 a.m. ET on Friday, July 19, 2024) and picked out the three that I think are most worth watching.

Right now, I'd recommend streaming the final chapter of the action-packed historical drama and a new sports documentary. The entire drama box set starring Bryan Cranston is also worth checking out (no, not “Breaking Bad”).

If none of our picks sound like a good fit for you, check out our roundup of Netflix's new shows this month or our list of Netflix's best shows. Otherwise, here are three shows from Netflix's Top 10 list that we think you should stream.

“Vikings” third and final season: see the conclusion of this action-packed historical saga.

“Vikings”: Valhalla,” the sequel series to the History Channel drama ‘Vikings,’ is set a century later and follows prominent Norsemen who lived during the late Viking Age, including explorers Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis Eiriksdottir ( Frida Gustafsson), and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), portray a new generation.

Despite being the final chapter, season 3 also introduced important newcomers: Rafe and Freydis' father Eric the Red and Byzantine general Maniakes (Florina Munteanu). Season 3, which takes place seven years after the previous chapter, presents a new challenge to Freydis, who has established himself as the pagan leader of Yomsborg, while Rafe and Harald continue their success in Constantinople.

Unlike the previous two shows above, Your Honor is not a Netflix original. Instead, the series was originally produced for Showtime, and the entire two-season series is currently streaming on Netflix.

“The Judge” stars Bryan Cranston as New Orleans judge Michael DeChiato. One day, Michael receives a call from his son, Adam (Hunter Doohan), who was involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed another boy. Despite being a member of the legal system, when Michael learns that the boy Adam killed is the son of New Orleans mob boss Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stahlberg), he tells Adam not to do or say anything. If you're looking for a new series to watch this week, Your Honor is a great place to start.
