Have you been waiting for a “Stranger Things” Season 5 progress report? Well, Netflix just delivered one
To celebrate the half-finished filming of one of the best Netflix shows, “Stranger Things,” the team has released a behind-the-scenes video that gives us an idea of how the cast and crew are feeling about the new series While we can't read too much into the plot of Season 5 from this video, the cast and crew are clearly very excited about this final chapter
The official “Stranger Things” account shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: “We're about halfway through filming the final season and thought you guys would like to see it I've embedded it below for you to check out:
The new behind-the-scenes teaser features snippets of the cast and crew on and off set In them, you can get an idea of the scale of the production we're working on: Sadie Sink wandering around a huge costume warehouse, glimpses of the Upside Down, and how the Vecna vines are being grossed out (someone is literally coating them by hand) [This trailer gives us a sneak peek at new cast members Linda Hamilton, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Blow on the set
While you're swallowing all this, you'll hear from many of the cast and crew Noah Schnapp muses that it will be “the best season ever,” Jamie Campbell Bower promises that this chapter “feels bigger,” and Caleb McLaughlin promises that “it was worth the wait”
Sadly, the season will reportedly drop in 2025, although the exact release date is still unknown Whether or not the final season will be dropped at once is also a mystery right now
Filming is only 50% complete at the time of writing, and with Maya Hawke recently claiming that the final season is “basically, eight movies” and that every episode will be “very long,” it seems likely that Netflix will split the final series again Expect to hear more information soon as production progresses
