We've reviewed a number of pizza ovens, and here are five of the best deals on Prime Day.

I am fortunate enough to live in an area of the world that has some of the best pizza in the world. I've also been fortunate enough to try out some of the best pizza ovens, so I know what to look for regarding design, performance, and price.

Pizza ovens are not cheap - even the least expensive models cost several hundred dollars. Fortunately, Prime Day deals have many of our favorite models still up for grabs.

If you're new to the world of outdoor pizza ovens, there are a few things to consider before making a purchase.

Fuel Source

This is how the oven heats. There are four main types of fuel used in most pizza ovens: wood, wood pellets, propane, and electricity.

Of these, propane and electricity are the easiest to use; simply plug the oven into an outlet or gas tank and you are ready to go. The next easiest would be wood pellets. Once you start using them, they burn at a constant temperature. Finally, some pizza ovens can burn chunks of wood. This can add a nice flavor to the pizza, but is the hardest to maintain because you have to keep an eye on the wood to make sure it is burning at a constant temperature.

Oven Size

The majority of pizza ovens are one of two sizes: 12“ or 16”. The larger the pizza oven, the more expensive it is, but it can cook pizzas for many people at once. (Pizza ovens require a few minutes between baking pies to raise the temperature of the pizza stone.)

Other Tools

Additional tools are needed to complete your pizza-making setup. Here are four items that are essential to making a good pizza at home.
