Lucien Laviscant of “Emily in Paris” Reveals We Will See a “More Subtle Side” of Alfie in Season 4

Alfie, played by Lucien Laviscant, had a pretty rough ending in “Emily in Paris” Season 3. In the finale episode of the Netflix drama set in France, the British businessman realized that his girlfriend Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) had feelings for chef Gabrielle (Lucas Bravo) and broke up with the eponymous heroine. And while Emily and Gabrielle are likely to become more intimate in “Emily in Paris” Season 4, which hits the streaming platform in two parts on August 15 and September 12, that doesn't mean Alfie will completely step aside.

In fact, in a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar India, Laviscount gave “Emilie in Paris” fans what they can expect from his character this season, including seeing a “more sensitive side” of the chief financial officer of Maison Laveau He gave a preview of what to expect.

“I can't reveal too many details at the moment, but I think viewers will see a more sensitive side of Alfie in season 4. True to the never-simple-solutions style that characterizes “Emily in Paris,” Alfie will have to navigate through complex situations and make important decisions.

Does one of those important decisions involve getting Emily back? Along with Gabrielle, Emily has been spotted cuddling with her handsome new boyfriend in Italy.

“It is incredibly rewarding to work with a crew, to spark a collective conversation, and to weave a story that resonates with the audience,” Laviscount said.

“Embodying the essence of the script and embracing a vulnerability that leaves no room for prevarication in front of the lens is uniquely liberating.

And speaking of embodying the script, the actor also mentioned which was his most memorable moment on the set of “Emily in Paris,” but was tight-lipped about the details of which fellow cast member prompted that moment.

“It was an emotional scene, and my co-stars forgot their lines. Instead of demanding a cut, they improvised a line, which transformed the scene. It reminded me of the magic that can happen on set and the importance of being open to unexpected moments during a shoot.”

When the first five episodes of “Emily in Paris” Season 4 premiere on August 15, we will see Alfie's sensitive side and more. Tom's Guide will bring you everything you need to know about “Emilie in Paris,” including behind-the-scenes footage, actor highlights, character descriptions, and more in advance of the fourth season of “Emilie in Paris.” Until then, you can catch up with Alfie, Emilie, and the rest of their Parisian friends by re-watching the show's first three seasons via Netflix subscription.
