The Hisense U8K tops our list of best cheap TVs for 2024 In our review of the Hisense U6K Mini LED TV, Editor's Choice TV said it was one of the best budget TVs we've tested in years

For starters, this TV delivers an outstanding picture for the price; the Mini-LED backlight provides superb contrast, and the quantum dot filter ensures saturated colors; add Google TV and VRR support for the console, and you'll get much more than competing TVs You get many of the best features at a lower price point

That said, we experienced some fuzziness with HD content like “Sunday Night Football,” and the native refresh rate of 60 Hz is problematic for gamers who want to maximize the frame rate of their favorite games But aside from these minor issues, it would be hard to find a better TV at a lower price

The Roku Plus Series 4K QLED TV is the streaming giant's first entry into TVs after a long focus on software and set-top/plug-in devices And what an entry it is: not only can you enjoy the big screen for as low as $499, but the picture and sound quality is surprisingly good

I also like the fact that it doesn't look cheap Gray metal bezels surround the screen on all sides, and the left, right, and top are less than an eighth of an inch There is also a chrome Roku logo in the center of the front

The TV uses quantum dot LED technology for vivid colors and increased brightness In our tests, we found that the TV lived up to Roku's claims The vividness of the images began to fade as one moved away from the center of the screen, but it took a considerable distance for the display to become unbearable to view

The Toshiba C350 4K Fire TV Edition is one of Amazon's budget smart TVs with one big selling point: built-in Amazon Prime Video and Alexa voice control In addition to Prime Video's extensive catalog of movies and shows, you have one of the best voice assistants on the market as close at hand as your remote control Alexa on the TV can do everything Alexa can do on the Amazon Echo, including smart home controls, weather and restaurant searches All of this is built into a 55-inch Toshiba 4K TV that sells for an affordable price of less than $500

Switching to Toshiba from last year's Westinghouse model brought a number of improvements, including better display quality, HDR support, and a more refined user experience, but mediocre picture quality and middling audio hold it back No matter how good Amazon's Fire TV is as a smart TV platform, the TV must also be good in its own right

In our tests, the C350 produces a picture good enough to enjoy what's on the screen without suffering from picture quality issues It is bright enough for daylight, and the colors are good

The 48-inch LG A2 4K OLED TV, usually priced at $599, is one of the best TV values you can find We praised LG's budget TV for offering “a wonderfully colorful picture, fairly strong audio, and a sleek and intuitive interface ‘The A2’s refresh rate is only 60Hz, but even fast motion looks clean and fluid, except in extreme business situations, This did not bother us at all We also liked the TV's low input delay (Gamers should note the lack of an HDMI 21 port, though)

The A2 boasts amazing picture quality, easily surpassing the LCD screens most of us are used to It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, viewing formats that help bring out the best in the content we see on our screens In addition, it seamlessly integrates with voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, making it easy to navigate to your favorite shows and channels with just your voice The LG webOS platform that this TV comes with is also excellent
