CMF, which is not a sub-brand of any kind, has introduced a shockingly cheap product - a $200 phone.

Although still a fledgling brand, Nothing has already created a budget sub-brand called CMF. The brand today announced three new products: the CMF Phone 1, CMF Watch Pro 2, and CMF Buds Pro 2. As one would expect from Nothing's affordable division, these products are all shockingly priced.

I am cautiously optimistic about the phone and the devices that support it, but at $200 for the phone, $69 for the watch, and $59 for the earbuds, I am a little concerned that these may be too cheap.

The CMF Phone 1 offers out-of-the-box design options, including a removable back cover that allows the phone to be customized. It also allows access to the phone's internal components for repairs and maintenance. There is also a foldable stand, card holder, and "accessory points" for attaching straps.

Under the hood is an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor and 8GB of RAM; with a 5,000mAh battery, expect good battery life. The screen is a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which seems like the most promising element for a budget smartphone. Finally, the company has included a Sony 50MP primary camera sensor.

At $200, these specs seem quite respectable, especially its 6.67-inch 120Hz screen. The phone is scheduled to ship on July 12 for pre-orders, so the wait is relatively short. There is a good chance that this will be one of the best budget phones released this year.

The CMF Watch Pro 2 is a follow-up to the company's first watch. It retains the same $69 price tag as last year's model, much cheaper than most smartwatches from reputable brands. Like a cell phone, it allows for a certain amount of customization. By swapping out the band and changing the bezel, you can, as CMF puts it, "fluidly switch styles to suit every occasion." [It has a 1.32-inch always-on AMOLED display that can be used for up to 11 days on a single charge. It has all the standard tracking features, including built-in GPS, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and other health tracking sensors. Compared to last year's model, CMF also adds an automatic brightness adjustment algorithm, improved sleep tracking, and customizable widgets.

Like the phone, the listed ship date is July 12.

The final CMF product will be the only price increase. The original CMF Buds Pro was $49; the Buds Pro 2 is up $10 to $59. With active noise cancellation and algorithmic spaced audio, it is hard to find earbuds that are this inexpensive. The headphones are scheduled to ship July 12 and can be pre-ordered.
