A week from now, OnePlus is planning a worldwide launch of several products already announced in China, with an event scheduled for July 16 in Milan, Italy However, some of those products are getting an early look, thanks to some timely leaks
One of the notable products coming next week is the OnePlus Pad 2, a new version of OnePlus' tablet that has been appearing in China as the OnePlus Pad Pro OnePlus Pad sequel specs were posted by leaker Ishan Agarwal on X Agarwal is from India, and according to his leak, these specs are for a global version of the OnePlus Pad 2
The Pad 2 will come in two versions with different storage capacities and RAM configurations: one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the other with 12GB of memory and 256GB of capacity There is also a 16GB/512GB variant in China, but this version is not likely to appear in other countries
Otherwise, the OnePlus Pad 2's specs appear to be the same as the original OnePlus Pad The new version will feature a 121-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and peak brightness of 900 nits It will be powered by Qualcomm's ubiquitous Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsetOnePlus is leaning toward huge batteries this year, and the Pad 2 will have a 9,510 mAh battery with 67W Supervooc charging support
It will also feature a 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP front camera
Prior to the China event, several leaked images showed the new Stylo 2 Smart Pencil and an upgraded keyboard; the latest image leaked by OnLeaks on X and shared with Android Headlines looks much like the previous iteration showing the tablet itself Nevertheless, the Agarwal leak claims that a keyboard and stylus will also be released along with a folio case
OnePlus will also introduce a new smartwatch, dubbed the OnePlus Watch 2R Typically, OnePlus uses the R label on its products to indicate lower-priced models; the OnePlus Watch 2 is $299, so the Watch 2R is rumored to be between $199 and $249
One difference between the Watch 2 and Watch 2R is that the 2R will be green, as shown in a newly posted leaked rendered image by Android Headlines
Surprisingly, we didn't hear much about the Nord Buds 3 Pro, which will also be unveiled at the July 16 event; OnePlus describes the Buds as the "pinnacle of mid-range ANC earphones"
The buds are likely to come in two colors, mint and black Like the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which Samsung is expected to unveil at Galaxy Unpacked this Wednesday (July 10), the Nord Buds appear to mimic Apple's stem design
The current OnePlus Buds Pro 2 sells for $129 We expect the new earbuds to be around that price In our review, we thought the OnePlus Pro 2 Buds were good but lacked sound performance We hope these new earbuds, featured in the Android Headlines article above, will improve on sound
