Competition in the AI chatbot market is fierce, with Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini competing with each other as well as with collective services such as Poe.

Some of these bots are adding new features, such as ChatGPT's custom GPT and MetaAI's image animation. Among them is Artifacts, a new feature in Claude 3.5 Sonnet that allows users to quickly generate and use content.

Now Poe, an AI model aggregator from the makers of Quora, has announced a similar feature, but unlike Claude, this one works with a variety of LLMs.

"We are pleased to introduce Previews, a new feature that allows you to view and interact with web applications generated directly in Poe's chat. Previews works especially well with LLMs that are good at coding, such as Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and Gemini 1.5 Pro," Poe explained on X (formerly Twitter).

Once a preview is created, it can be shared with others via a link or viewed in a new tab.

Poe said, "This new feature will allow all Poe users to create custom interactive experiences, regardless of their programming abilities. You can build games, interactive animations, drag-and-drop interfaces, data visualizations, and much more."

Examples include an adjustable drum machine in a chat window and a gravity-length description that can be turned into a series of It can be turned into a series of flash cards.

The preview will likely make the more complex LLM functionality more accessible to users; LLM is currently available for web users and supports HTML output, CSS, and Javascript functionality. Poe promises that "additional formats will be supported in the coming days and weeks."
