Amazon Prime Day takes place next week (starting Tuesday, July 16), and savvy shoppers know that deals arrive weeks before the official start date This year is no different, and Amazon is currently offering a number of epic gaming-related deals, but Prime Gaming is also offering free sale items
For those of you who may not be familiar with Prime Gaming, it is an Amazon Prime membership benefit that gives subscribers access to a variety of gaming goodies each month Perks include in-game items from popular online titles, but most excitingly, Prime Gaming offers a rotation of free games
Right now, Amazon Prime members have several free PC games available, including Hitman: Absolution, Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005), and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood To claim these free games, go to the Prime Gaming hub, go to the "Games" section, select the game you want to redeem, follow the on-screen instructions to download it, and start enjoying the new game
Topping this selection is Hitman: Absolution While not as beloved as its predecessor "Hitman: Blood Money" and not as freeform as the recent "Hitman: World of Assassination" trilogy, it is an enjoyable action stealth game that allows you to take on levels in multiple ways It is also the only game to feature a nun armed with a machine gun (although this caused serious controversy upon its 2012 release)
These are not the only games available for free during Prime Day Amazon has confirmed that games will be added over the next few days, including the arcade game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, the legendary sci-fi RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords" will be added, all of which will be available to claim starting Thursday, July 11
If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, you will have immediate access to Prime Gaming This is not an additional charge, but is included as standard with your membership Be sure to check the platform regularly so that you don't miss out on any of the top freebies Additionally, it is worth noting that once you claim your free games, they are yours to keep Even if you don't have time to play the full game right now, you can always come back
