Galaxy Unpacked brings Samsung fans some great new devices, including the new Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 But what would a phone be without great earbuds to go with it?
In addition to all the other Samsung devices on display from Paris today (June 19), Samsung confirmed the presence of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro This is the first time the base and pro models of the Galaxy Buds have been announced simultaneously It is also the first Buds to be released after 2022
Initial reviews of the Galaxy Buds 2 praised the customizable sound and excellent comfort and fit, but disliked the short battery life and overall lackluster call quality However, with Galaxy AI, Samsung was able to improve its next-generation headphones
First, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro went through a major redesign, offering two different purpose-built design options The Galaxy Buds 3 features an open design that is easy to use in a variety of situations The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, on the other hand, is designed as a canal type with an emphasis on more immersive sound
Both new Galaxy Buds feature a new blade design with a stem built into the bottom of the headphones This blade is not just a visual improvement, but a significant increase in user control, as volume can be controlled by simply pinching or swiping the blade up or down The stem also includes a new blade light and a rubber stopper to ensure that Buds 3 fits comfortably in the user's ear
The headphones include a wealth of new and improved features, as well as new AI capabilities aimed at connecting with users more than ever before For example, when used in conjunction with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 or Galaxy Z Fold 6's interpreter feature, translations are relayed directly to you Not only that, but you will be able to control your Galaxy Buds with simple voice commands to start and stop music and adjust volume
The microphones in the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are not to be outdone and offer several new features The microphones analyze internal and external sounds in real time, and adaptive EQ and adaptive ANC can improve sound quality and active noise cancellation (ANC) Additionally, if you are listening too much, the Buds 3 Pro collects and identifies ambient sounds and adjusts the optimal noise and sound levels without manual adjustments through ANC, sound detection, and voice detection
Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro offer improved sound quality and accurate treble protection; Buds 3 Pro features advanced hardware, including an enhanced two-way with planar tweeter for sophisticated and accurate treble sound protection, a speakers and dual amplifiers for a clear sound experience on the go
The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro also features Ultra High Audio, which supports twice the sample rate with the SSC codec, allowing you to hear every high-resolution audio source in stunning detail This sound quality extends to calls, thanks to pre-trained models based on machine learning: the Buds3 Series features Super Wideband Calling, which restores the speaker's voice regardless of ambient noise, making the call sound natural
The Galaxy Buds3 has a 48mAh battery in the Buds itself, while the charging case has a capacity of 515mAh The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, on the other hand, has a slightly larger capacity, typically a 53mAh battery This means that the base Buds 3 is capable of up to 5 hours of music playback or 35 hours of conversation The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, on the other hand, can listen to music for up to 6 hours or talk on the phone for 45 hours
Charging the headphones couldn't be easier, as both versions support wireless and wired charging via USB-C
Overall, the new Galaxy Buds offer improved sound, especially in conjunction with the newly upgraded Galaxy AI integration While the battery, which was one of the complaints against the previous Galaxy Buds 2, has not been improved, it is perfect for Android audiophiles and looks to be the best wireless headphones available
