Can't wait for "Knives Out 3" (aka "Wake Up Dead Man")? Well, Netflix just teased a new series that will scratch the same itch. It's called "The Perfect Couple."

It features a star-studded cast that includes Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, Eve Hewson, Billy Howle, Megan Fahey, Jack Reynor, and Ishaan Cutter.

Kidman's ultra-rich Nantucket island matriarch is planning a lavish wedding for his soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and the decadence is in full force when the guests arrive. The teaser takes a turn, however, when a "drowning accident" (as the patriarch, played by Schreiber, phrases it) occurs at the site and the police arrive on the scene.

And while the Wimberlys seem to want to keep up appearances, there are plenty of clues here waiting for secrets to spill out. The trailer plunges into cryptic shots of doors closing, NDA discussions, interrogations, sly comments, and even a pistol being pointed at them. And all of it is done in a very playful, droll tone that suggests that watching the investigation unfold is going to be a lot of fun indeed.

This six-part film from "Bird Box" director Sussanne Bier looks to be a very insatiable and decadent piece of work. And this teaser concludes with more good news!

"The Perfect Couple" is sure to be an unforgettable wedding for Nantucket.

The Netflix synopsis reads: "Amelia Sachs is about to marry into one of Nantucket's wealthiest families. Her mother-in-law, the famous novelist Greer Garrison Wimberly, has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the best wedding of the season. As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that seems to have stepped out of Greer's novel. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect."

If you want to immerse yourself in another murder mystery before "The Perfect Couple" hits the screen, Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin are coming to Hulu on August 27 with "Only Murder in the Building" Season 4 to solve another case.
