Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Arrives - Expectations Rise for Marvel

Brace yourself--it may finally be time to snap out of the dreaded "Marvel fatigue" we've all been experiencing for the past few years, because the MCU seems to be on the mend and we can once again feel the pure, glorious magic of this world. Captain America: Brave New World is proof that a quality film is just around the corner, and we finally have the first trailer for this highly anticipated superhero adventure.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the teaser since it was rumored yesterday that the trailer would be released (they were wrong, and I refreshed my feed several times to catch it early). Thankfully, the trailer was delayed until today (July 12), but it was worth the wait. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) dons the Captain America suit and battles the exciting threat that is the Red Hulk. Watch the trailer below:

In the trailer you can see what to expect from the upcoming film and who will be in it. Sam Wilson finds himself in the middle of an international incident after discussing his new military position with U.S. President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford). Wilson asks, "What happens if we don't agree on how to manage the situation?"

He expresses concern about the agreement.

Ross does not appear to give a firm answer, but instead replies, "Work with me, Sam." If you didn't already know, "Thunderbolt" Ross is a major antagonist in the Marvel Comics universe, so there is a good chance he will antagonize everyone when he becomes the Red Hulk. In this case, it is unclear how much of a villain he would be. The official synopsis reads, "Wilson must find out the reason behind a diabolical global conspiracy before the real mastermind turns the whole world red." [A new character played by Giancarlo Esposito will also be unveiled for the first time. He may play the role of George Washington Bridge, a former mercenary and high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agent (though not confirmed). Speaking to Phoenix Fan Fusion (via CinemaBlend), Esposito said: "The MCU knocked on my door. It was put on notice and there will be a series after that."

This trailer gave me goosebumps, which rarely happen. The explosive fight scenes, Wilson flying through the air in his suit, and the incredible shot of the Red Hulk throwing down Captain America's shield at the end. The film is a great example of how to make the most out of a film, especially when you have exciting projects like "Daredevil" and "Fantastic Four": especially when you have exciting projects like "Daredevil: Born Again" and "Fantastic Four" in the works.

"Captain America: Brave New World" will be released on February 14, 2025. If you're too excited to know what to do now, why not watch the Marvel movies in order while you wait?
