Madea's film may have made Tyler Perry a household name, but he has since used that spotlight to craft stories that resonate deeply with audiences often ignored by Hollywood. His latest drama, "Tyler Perry's Divorce in Black," is no different, tapping into the dark side of passionate love and the struggle to break free from a toxic relationship.

Meagan Good stars as Ava, a young banker whose life takes a sudden turn when her husband Dallas (Corey Hardrict) forces her to divorce him. Initially struggling to save her marriage, her resolve is shaken as Dallas' misdeeds come to light and it is revealed that he sabotaged Ava's chances of finding her true soul mate years earlier. The trailer for IF reminded me of a cross between the live action and animated characters from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I was reminded of a cross between live action and animated characters in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". So needless to say, I was intrigued to see that John Krasinski, of "The Quiet Place" fame, was writing and directing.

In "IF," Kaylee Fleming plays Bo, a young girl going through a difficult time after her mother dies and her father has to move in with her grandparents for surgery. She discovers that she can see other people's imaginary friends, known as IFs, including Fuzzy, Grimace-esque Blue (voiced by Steve Carell) and Blossom (Phoebe Waller-Bridge), who resembles a cross between a butterfly and Betty Boop. Bee's cantankerous new neighbor Cal (Ryan Reynolds) can also see them, and together they try to find a new home for the forgotten imaginary friends their creator graduated them to.

Russell Crowe is becoming a regular scream queen, first in last year's "The Pope's Exorcist" and now in "Exorcism." (Directed by Joshua John Miller, son of "The Exorcist" actor Jason Miller, this supernatural chiller has been panned by critics, but looks like a fun popcorn horror.

Crowe plays Anthony Miller, a failed actor who begins to lose his sanity after accepting a role as a priest in a horror film. His estranged daughter (Ryan Simpkins) fears that Anthony's old vices have returned, but he insists that dark forces are at work and calls in an exorcist to resolve the situation.
