Hello Strands fans! Today's theme is "Hello kitty". That was almost confirmed when I saw the word TORTOISESHELL snaking across the top three lines of the board.

TABBY was just below it, and I realized that the stray "X" in the lower right corner had to belong to TUXEDO.

My knowledge of coat types was a bit depleted at this point, despite the fact that we have three cats roaming around the house. However, it turns out that black, like orange (often called "ginger cat" on this side of the world), is a coat color in its own right.

At this point, I had enough to get a spangram: FURCOAT goes from left to right on the board. All that remains is the CALICO in the lower left corner.

The last problem is problematic for those unfamiliar with cat fur names, but overall today's puzzle was very interesting.
