Top 10 Prime Video Movies - Here are 3 worth watching now

If you're wondering what to watch next on Amazon Prime Video, the service's "Top 10 Most Watched Movies" list is a useful tool for discovering the movies that have most captured subscribers' interest.

But it is far from a guarantee of quality. Just because a film climbs the charts and secures a spot on the list does not necessarily mean it is worth your time. I track the charts of streaming services daily and have seen countless mediocre or downright rotten films make the Prime Video Top 10. That's why I'm choosing the current gems.

This list is based on the Prime Video Top 10 Movies list as of Tuesday, July 2 at 8 a.m. ET, and is packed with emotionally charged documentaries, masterful historical dramas, and survival thrillers with Liam Neeson in top form. Here are the next Prime Video movies to watch.

Prime Video continues its strong documentary run with "Federer: Federer, The Last 12 Days," followed by "Federer, The Last 12 Days," a fascinating look at a character living in the spotlight."

"I Am: Celine Dion" focuses on the life and career of the world-renowned Canadian singer, from her humble beginnings growing up in a large family in Quebec to her international fame in 1988 when she won the Eurovision Song Contest.

Many know Dion for his hit song "My Heart Will Go On," written for the film Titanic, but there is much more to this dazzling performer. This intimate biographical documentary also covers Dion's 2022 diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome and her ongoing battle with the disease, which causes chronic pain and movement disorders. Described as "poignant" and "a film about resilience," "I Am: Celine Dion" currently holds a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

What more is there to say about "Oppenheimer"? After writing about the film virtually nonstop for the past 12 months, I have run out of superlatives to describe this epic biographical drama. Winner of seven Academy Awards (including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor), the film is Christopher Nolan's magnum opus and a stunning success in every category.

Cillian Murphy plays Robert J. Oppenheimer, an American theoretical physicist and leader of the Manhattan Project. The development of nuclear weapons is considered Oppenheimer's greatest achievement, and this biopic is about the traumatic effects of bringing such a destructive force into the world. The film stars Emily Blunt, Robert Downey, Jr., Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, and many other celebrities.

In the climactic scene of "The Grey," Liam Neeson confronts a pack of vicious gray wolves. That alone should make this exhilarating survival thriller enjoyable. But if you still need a little convincing, you might be pleased to know that "The Grey" is more than just a clichéd collection of genre clichés. The film also offers several quiet, character-driven scenes that are effective in watching Neeson try to survive in the frozen forest.

In "The Grey," oil refinery workers are trapped in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash. With precious few resources to sustain them and the biting cold, the leader of the group, John Ottway (Neeson), fights to keep his fellow workers alive while enduring one of the harshest environments on earth. As if the sub-zero temperatures and extreme cold were not enough, the group must also contend with a pack of hungry gray wolves who are after them as their next meal.
