Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 Specs Leaked Ahead of Galaxy Unpacked - Here's Everything You Need to Know

We are less than a week away from the summer Galaxy Unpacked event where Samsung is expected to reveal everything from the Galaxy Watch 7 to the Galaxy Ring.

Samsung's upcoming foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, will also be refreshed at the event, and thanks to trusted leaker Evan Blass, we now know exactly what to expect.

Blass' Substack newsletter, which just released images of the Z Flip 6 at X, has published full product pages for both models, confirming many previously rumored upgrades in the process.

Of the two models, the Z Flip 6 appears to be getting the more substantial upgrade.

For one, the main camera will be upgraded from 12 MP to 50 MP, as previously expected. Photo quality is more than megapixel, and it maintains the same f/1.8 aperture as the previous model.

RAM will also be upgraded as previously rumored; the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is backed up by 12GB RAM, up from 8GB in the Z Flip 5. This additional memory will no doubt help with the Galaxy AI built-in feature that Samsung seems to be focusing on.

AI translation looks particularly pretty on the Z Flip 6, as the phone displays translations both inside and on the cover screen, allowing both parties to see only the translated text that is directed at them. speaking of AI, fold it up and Chat Assist will suggest a reply, You don't have to bother opening it, and Circle to Search will also appear.

Curiously, the external screen is listed as IPS, not OLED. However, this is countered by the fact that the Z Flip 6 will be the first in the series to feature vapor cooling.

Battery life was once the Z Flip 6's Achilles' heel, with the Z Flip 3 testing a weak 6 hours. However, it has steadily improved over the years, and this time it has been increased by 300mAh to a solid 4,000mAh. When folded, it is 0.2 mm thinner than the previous model.

In contrast, upgrades to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are more limited. Here, too, there is an upgrade to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but the RAM (12GB) and battery capacity (4,400mAh) remain unchanged from the previous generation. Aside from the processor, the biggest upgrade seems to be in screen brightness, with the panel now up to 2,600 nits (up from 1,750).

However, those who were put off by the weight of previous Z Fold devices will be pleased to know that Samsung has reduced the weight by 14 grams from last year's model. But considering that the Z Fold 4, which was released in 2022, weighed 263 grams, the progress is commendable.

It is also slightly more compact overall. It measures 153.5 x 68.1 x 12.1 mm when folded (154.9 x 67.1 x 13.4 mm for the Z Fold 5) and 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6 mm when unfolded (154.9 x 129.9 x 6.1 mm for the previous model).

Like the Z Flip 6, it uses Galaxy AI; Note Assist automatically transcribes recordings and summarizes notes. Both will come in handy with this device's S Pen compatibility.

Leaks can prove to be inaccurate, but there is nothing particularly unlikely here: the page looks legit and Blass has a very strong track record. Nevertheless, nothing is official until Galaxy Unpacked kicks off next Wednesday.
