Nothing's budget sub-brand CMF plans to launch its first smartphone later this year, and the first specs were leaked in May. Now we may have our first glimpse of what that phone will look like, thanks to leaker Yogesh Brar.

The post has since been deleted, but Android Police took a glimpse at the alleged device, noting its similarity to the Google Pixel 8. Apparently we are looking at a phone with a glossy front, rounded corners, symmetrical bezels, and a hole punch. This is very... . typical of the design of modern Android phones.

Without notches and features like the Dynamic Island, most phones look more or less the same, at least from the front. It does not matter if it is a premium flagship or a budget product like the CMF Phone 1 is expected to be.

Past rumors have suggested that the CMF Phone 1's screen will be a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is significantly larger than the Pixel 8. Other rumored specs include a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, a 5000mAh battery, 33W fast charging, 8GB RAM, and a 50MP main camera.

Brar also posted an image claiming to be a case for the CMF Phone 1, but the official CMF X account stole his thunder and posted its own teaser image. The image shows the back of the upcoming phone and various accessories that can be attached to the back. Lots of screws are built in.

The phone has a very industrial design, and this appears to be the back of the CMG Phone 1 rather than some sort of case. In the upper left corner, two camera lenses are vertically aligned and surrounded by a thick metal case. The phone also appears to have four screws and one additional knob, all of which appear to be accessory-focused.

The only accessories seen in the image are the stand, what looks like a clip or strap, and the end of what looks like a wallet or battery pack. Without more information and a better view, it is unclear exactly what we are in for. It is unclear what else this knob would be used for, but at the very least it would be useful for attaching accessories to the CMF Phone 1.

There is also a tool in the center with a flathead screwdriver and a SIM removal tool. Presumably this is used to attach and remove accessories as desired. It is unclear where this is located.

CMF promises that the phone "celebrates technical craftsmanship with its unique adaptability." It is also "Customizable. Functional and yours". Details are currently expected to be revealed on July 8 at 10:00 a.m. ET/5:00 a.m. ET.
