It's finally time to officially know what Samsung has in store for all the devices not in the Galaxy S lineup. Watch the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Summer 2024 event online this Wednesday, July 10, to find out exactly what Samsung has in store for its next foldable phone or wearable product.

The main focus of Galaxy Unpacked Summer 2024 will likely be Samsung's new foldable phone. Rumors about this phone have been circulating for a very long time, and you may feel that you have already seen the device in stores; there are still unanswered questions, such as how Galaxy AI will be optimized for foldable phones.

Other devices, such as Samsung's Galaxy Ring and new premium smartwatches, may steal the thunder from the foldable lineup.

Samsung is holding this year's Galaxy Unpacked Summer in Paris, France, and Tom's Guide will be there in person to cover the event; Tom's Guide will also be there to cover the event. Samsung typically holds two Galaxy Unpacked events each year. The first event is held at the beginning of the year and focuses on the main Galaxy S lineup. This year the Galaxy S24 series was announced.

Normally, the summer version of Galaxy Unpacked is held in August. This year, however, it has been moved forward to July. Samsung is a major sponsor of this year's Olympics. We imagine the Korean firm is looking to release a new device ahead of the Paris edition of the international sporting event, which begins on July 26.

Both of Samsung's folding phone lines will receive updates this summer.

The more expensive model will be the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Two models may be announced: a standard model and a premium Z Fold 6 Ultra. Current rumors suggest solid, if iterative, upgrades, including a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and a 7.6-inch inner display.

However, Samsung has announced that it will optimize Galaxy AI for foldable phones; depending on how significant the AI trick will be, the Z Fold 6 may be a worthy purchase.

With a more durable screen, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 could also feature a larger 3.4" exterior display. like the Z Fold 6, the Z Flip 6 will also feature optimized AI and run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It is believed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

The biggest upgrade for the Z Flip 6 may be an improved camera with a powerful zoom and 50MP main camera sensor.

Samsung should also announce two new smartwatches.

The standard Galaxy Watch 7 has been rumored to undergo a major redesign, but recently released images show a familiar aesthetic. Despite the similar look, the Galaxy Watch 7 is not expected to be a mere iterative release.

The latest addition to Samsung's smartwatch lineup is rumored to have an enhanced battery and significantly improved performance thanks to the recently announced Exynos W1000 chip. Combined with the new Wear OS 5 and Samsung OneUI Watch 6 update, the Galaxy Watch 7 should offer much better performance than previous editions.

Typically, Samsung releases regular and "classic" versions of its smartwatches. However, this year the classic version may be replaced by the new Galaxy Watch Ultra, which is poised to compete with Apple's Watch Ultra series.

In addition to the premium price point and square design, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will have all the same features as the Watch 7. We look forward to seeing what features Samsung will unveil to differentiate the two smartwatches.

The new Galaxy Ring may strike lightning at this year's event.

Before the last Galaxy Unpacked, there were rumors that the Galaxy Ring would be announced along with the Galaxy S24 series; the Galaxy Ring made a brief appearance, but that was it. Then we got a teaser at MWC 2024, but it was only a physical display.

The health-focused wearable should offer tracking capabilities similar to the Galaxy Watch and may provide a way for people who don't want a large device to track their health and fitness.

The big question is how Ring will be integrated into the Galaxy ecosystem.

Outside of brand new devices, the most significant change in Samsung's offerings is the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earphones.

The past few Galaxy Buds featured a bean-like design. However, Samsung appears to be adding a stem to the earbuds, making them more like Apple's AirPods.

The design is more angular than Apple's aesthetic, and in the silver color that may debut, it looks like a cybertrack.

The stalk should add a better microphone and controls. Buds are also expected to get better batteries and improved ANC.

Whatever Samsung announces, there is an opportunity to save money; given that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are rumored to be getting a price hike, those extra savings could come in handy.
