Eddie Murphy returns as Axel Foley, a hotshot Beverly Hills detective, in "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F," the latest installment in the popular 80s action-comedy series, in which Foley returns to Los Angeles and reunites with his estranged daughter ( Taylor Page) and reunites with her. But tensions rise when her ex-boyfriend becomes Axel's new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and the three must work together to uncover a conspiracy.

Old acquaintances Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) return to help the Foleys solve the case. With Murphy's signature wit, the film blends exciting action and comedy, introducing new characters while also bringing back some familiar faces for fans. I was a big fan of "Godzilla Minus One," but the latest monster flick, "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," takes the series back to its roots.

The sequel to 2021's "Godzilla vs. Kong" puts past rivalries aside as the laser-spewing lizard and the giant ape come together to face a new hidden enemy that threatens their mutual existence. It will take all the strength the former foes can muster and a little teamwork to stop the frost-spitting giant from escaping the Hollow Earth and wreaking havoc on the surface of the earth. The human side of the story is particularly dry this time around, but if you're looking for two hours of epic battles between skyscraper-sized creatures, you'll have a lot of fun with "Godzilla x Kong: New Empire. Just don't expect anything deeper than popcorn thrills.

Netflix's latest animated film is a fantasy on a much larger scale, directed by famed animator Yoshiyuki Momose. It is the second animated film from Studio Ponoc, founded by Studio Ghibli alumni, following 2017's "Mary and the Witch's Flower."

Not to be confused with Bramhaus' horror "Imaginary" and John Krasinski's imaginary friend film "IF," "Imaginary" follows a young girl named Amanda who dreams of an imaginary friend named Rudger to help her cope with the death of her father. the two follow her wild Imaginary journey and spend their days together, but Ludger learns his fate - Imaginary disappears when its creator forgets - and sets out in search of the forgotten sanctuary of Imaginary.

Memory, the latest film from award-winning Mexican screenwriter Michel Franco, is a bit of a departure from his strictly pessimistic body of work. Jessica Chastain plays Sylvia, a social worker and single mother who juggles a demanding schedule around her daughter, work, and AA meetings.

Her well-planned life is blown apart when Saul (Peter Sarsgaard), with whom she has a history, unexpectedly follows her home from a high school reunion. Finding him sleeping outside the next morning, she contacts his brother and learns that Saul has early dementia. Their unexpected encounter reawakens old wounds and memories, and Sylvia and Saul are forced to confront a part of their past they had hoped to forget.

Like a cross between "Private Benjamin" and "Legally Blonde," Prime Video's latest romantic comedy "Space Cadet" follows Tiffany "Rex" Simpson (Emma Roberts), a Florida bartender who dreams of becoming an astronaut.

She applies to NASA's astronaut training program and manages to get accepted after her best friend Nadine (Poppy Liu) decorates her application behind her back. Rex must survive the training with tact, moxie, and guts before her secret is exposed and her dream of going to space crumbles.
