Norman Reedus Teases "Daryl Dixon" Season 2, Hints at Next Movie

Fans of "The Walking Dead" have been treated to exciting new information about "Daryl Dixon" Season 2 and "Dead City" over the past few weeks. In addition, Daryl Dixon's famed actor Norman Reedus recently dropped some interesting hints about the spin-off's second season.

The first season of "Daryl Dixon" was successful and exciting enough to capitalize on the protagonist's intense appeal and place him in a fresh post-apocalyptic French setting. And let's not forget the shapeshifting zombies (although I personally wasn't happy to see more of them). But the second season is going to pack more of a punch, and in an interview with Radio Times, Reedus promises that the new season will blow your mind.

"Season 2 is phenomenal. Season one was fun, but season two is going to take your breath away. The finale of season two, the final episode, is the best hour of The Walking Dead ever.

The exact details of what to expect are unclear, but this statement alone proves that "Daryl Dixon" Season 2 has the potential to revive the entire franchise. Reedus' high praise for the second season is very promising, considering that he doesn't say much about it. This is because he has hinted at what's next for the show, including potential locations for seasons 3 and 4.

"Season 3 and probably season 4 is about to begin. I guess you could say that, but I think we're going to Madrid, Spain," Reedus said.

Going elsewhere in the "Walking Dead" universe may mean that Daryl will not return to Alexandria and his journey will remain outside the U.S. as he faces new threats. We also have confirmation that Season 4, which had been in limbo, will in fact take place. Of course, this is not much information, but it tells us a lot about where the story will go in Season 2 and beyond.

Season 2 of "Daryl Dixon," titled "The Book of Carol," will see Daryl struggling with his decision to remain in France. Not only that, but the appearance of Genet (Anne Charrier) puts the Pouvoirs on a violent collision course with the Alliance of Hope. Carol (Melissa McBride) also joins the show to fight to find Daryl while confronting old demons.

After "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, both Reedus and McBride shared some details about The Knockturnal and the upcoming season.

"It's a lot of her story of trying to find me, lots of twists and turns and characters from the first season. There will be death, tears, and insane places. Lots of twists and turns happen that you wouldn't expect. It's a show I always wanted us to enjoy," said Reedus.

McBride, meanwhile, hinted at his favorite episodes, without giving details of the spinoff, saying, "I think it's a great show. But the first episode will set the course of Carol's development for the rest of the season."

For now, we'll have to wait until "Daryl Dixon" Season 2 hits the small screen on September 29 to see if their claims are true. After the success of Season 1, we are very hopeful that the next installment will take this franchise to a whole new level.
