We recently got our hands on the OnePlus Pad, a solid, wallet-friendly tablet, but it already has a Pro-level sibling on the way. For years, OnePlus has been in the habit of releasing only one or two devices a year, but recently the company has significantly expanded its lineup, adding "Pro" upgrades to various phones as part of that expansion.

OnePlus surprised Chinese social media site Weibo last week with a teaser of the new OnePlus Pad Pro. At that point, however, the company had not announced any information other than a June 27 release date.

This week, 9to5 Google discovered a series of images from Digital Chat Station, a Weibo leak regular, showing the OnePlus Pad Pro.

The leaked images showcase a tablet that closely resembles the OnePlus Pad; according to DCS, the new tablet has an "all-metal body" and a thin and light design. The current OnePlus Pad has only an aluminum back.

Along with that, they preview a "very attractive" price. Currently, the OnePlus Pad sells for $479. With the current 11-inch iPad Air 2024 and Samsung Tab S9+ tablets selling for $999, OnePlus could sell the "Pro" model for between $600 and $1000. If we had to guess, we would say that the Pro tablet is closer to $600.

Teaser images from OnePlus show a new tablet with a magnetic keyboard and what looks like a black version of the OnePlus Stylo, one of the best Apple Pencil alternatives. I've only seen the Stylo in white, so if OnePlus is planning a different colorway, that would be new.

The Digital Chat image also shows a black Stylo with a magnetic keyboard. Other than color, both accessories appear to be getting a slight design update.

We have already seen rumors of the OnePlus Pad 2, which may move from the Dimensity 9000 chipset to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. In a reply to their post, Digital Chat Station seems to indicate that the OnePlus Pad Pro will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
